Presenters
Karen R. Brown is administrative director at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE). She has worked at ICLE since 1987 and during that time has managed many major transitions, including those in technology, business, marketing, customer service, warehouse and shipping, team implementation, strategic planning, corporate reorganization, and Web design.
Ms. Brown has also led training at ICLE to enhance management, team management, and project management skills.
During her time at ICLE, she has been a member of the Association for Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA), winning several “ACLEA’s Best” awards and presenting on marketing, change management, and strategic leadership topics.
Ms. Brown holds an MSW from the University of Michigan.
Yvette L. Harms has been a project manager since 1995 and was certified by the Project Management Institute in 2006 as a project management professional (PMP).
She has worked at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) since 1998. During her time at ICLE, Ms. Harms has been instrumental in managing the Institute’s change initiatives. She has managed the development of many products and ICLE’s technical infrastructure. Ms. Harms was a co-leader in training the ICLE staff in general project management skills.
She has also served as a consultant for publishers in the development of editorial processes, publishing systems, and digitization projects. A past presenter on technology and project management for the Association for Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA) and a past chairperson of the Technology Special Interest Group, her IT team at ICLE has won several “ACLEA’s Best” awards for product development.
